CISQ Executive Director David Norton to Speak at Agile2019

TALK WILL FOCUS ON MODEL-BASED SYSTEMS ENGINEERING (MBSE) COMING TOGETHER WITH AGILE WORLD

NEEDHAM, MA – July 22, 2019 – The Consortium for Information & Software Quality™ (CISQ™), an IT industry leadership group that develops standards for automating software quality measurement, today announced that CISQ Executive Director David Norton will speak at Agile2019, the premier global event for the advancement of Agile practices organized by Agile Alliance. His session “Augmented Agile Delivery – Agile Behaviour Meets Digital Engineering” will be held on Thursday, August 8 at 9:00 a.m. in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Norton’s interactive session will focus on a number of interrelated topics to help attendees formulate a strategy for next-generation agile engineering practices. Takeaways from his talk will focus on:

  • Re-evaluating MBSE in the context of agile and digital twins to support complex business ecosystems from strategy to implementation.
  • Dealing with human factors in the engineering process as we increase automation – when do we augment and when do we remove human actor.
  • Tackling the problem of quality at speed and agile at scale with the correct application of relevant guidelines and standards to form a solid foundation.

Mr. Norton brings with him more than 32 years of global industry experience. Prior to joining CISQ, he served as a senior analyst for Gartner, Inc. where his primary focus areas included enterprise agile, digital, and practicalities of dealing with ever-increasing complexity and uncertainty. He has also worked extensively in defense and battles space, including operational.

Agile Alliance organizes Agile2019, now in its eighteenth year. It attracts Agile practitioners, business, vendor-partner community members, and academia from around the world. Last year, the conference drew nearly 2,400 Agilists from 53 countries who learned from and collaborated with recognized Agile experts, authors, and innovators. AGILE2019, to be held August 5 – 9 in Washington, D.C., is expected to draw even more attendees.
